HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR
/ GENERAL LABORER

HANDS-ON WORK. QUALITY RESULTS. STRONG TEAM.

KCR Construction is seeking a dependable, hardworking Heavy Equipment Operator who is willing to work both in and out of the machine. This is a hands-on position requiring safe equipment operation while assisting with labor tasks to keep projects moving efficiently.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Safely operate excavators, skid steers, mini excavators, and other heavy equipment.
  • Perform excavation, grading, drainage, site preparation, utility trenching, and material handling.
  • Read grade stakes, blueprints, and site plans when required.
  • Conduct daily equipment inspections and routine maintenance.
  • Load and unload materials and equipment.
  • Assist with fence installation, concrete preparation, drainage systems, erosion control, and other construction tasks.
  • Perform manual labor including digging, lifting, shoveling, raking, and site cleanup.
  • Work alongside crew members to complete projects efficiently and safely.
  • Follow all OSHA and company safety procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized job site and equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience operating heavy construction equipment preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license; CDL is a plus.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift 75+ pounds and perform physically demanding labor.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Mechanical aptitude and equipment maintenance experience are a plus.

  • Drainage and water management
  • Utility installation
  • Agricultural or commercial fencing
  • Reading construction plans and grades
